Sound Insulation Prediction

The future of
acoustic simulations

Unprecedented accuracy

Based on more than a decade of pioneering research on sound insulation prediction at KU Leuven university, Belgium. Validated against a large number of laboratory tests.

1

Complex walls and floors

Possibility to analyze designs that include a multitude of components and materials, accounting for boundary effects.

2

Wide range of building elements

Our efficient general-purpose numerical methods can analyze virtually any wall or floor. Large material and component database included.

3

Acoustic design

Geometries and materials can be easily adapted to gain insight into and optimize sound insulation performance.

About SonIT

SonIT is a new partnership between the building acoustics research team of KU Leuven and the acoustics engineering office SonIQ.

Our aim is to bring cutting-edge acoustic simulation research to engineering practice in a user-friendly way.

Soprano is being developed by Edwin Reynders, professor at KU Leuven, Jasper Vastiau, postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, and Bart Van de Velde, CEO at SonIQ acoustic engineering office
